The Crying Tree was recently chosen as a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers pick for Fall 2009. Good choice, B&N! What struck me most about this book is how real the characters felt. They could have been my neighbors or relatives and I was with them the whole way as they discovered and coped with unimaginable loss and betrayal, and ultimately found forgiveness. I couldn’t put it down.
