About a million years ago Shannon Wheeler graduated from UC
Berkeley with a never-used degree in Architecture. A decade later Too Much Coffee Man was started as a
coffee shop doodle. The strong sales of the comic book allowed Shannon to
quit his video store job. Since then Shannon has used the character as a
lead in over a dozen comic books, a Converse Tennis Shoe commercial, a
mascot for a magazine (with the same title), and most recently, an opera.
Shannon draws and self-syndicates a comic strip called How to Be Happy to various alternative newsweeklies. He writes and draws a second weekly strip called Postage Stamp Funnies for The Onion. Shannon is currently working with Simon Max Hill on a kids’ book called Grandpa Won’t Wake Up and a graphic novel called Drunk and Drunk Dwarf with Jesse Michaels.
His next book Screw Heaven, When I Die I’m Going to Mars comes out this Summer from Dark Horse Books. Past books include Too Much Coffee Man’s Amusing Musings, Parade of Tirade, Guide for the Perplexed, and How to Be Happy.
Shannon’s dream is to be published in the same town in which he lives.
