Rene Denfeld is a nonfiction writer and journalist living in Portland, Oregon. In addition to writing frequently for publications such as The New York Times Magazine and the Philadelphia Inquirer, she has also published severals books including The New Victorians: A Young Woman's Challenge to the Old Feminist Order and Kill The Body, The Head Will Fall. Her most recent work is All God's Children: Inside the Dark and Violent World of Street Families.
