Laura Berg is a writer and editor living and working in Portland,
Oregon. She edited The First Oregonians, a book about the
state’s Indian peoples. The Oregon Council for the Humanities
published and released the book in October 2007.
Ms. Berg edits and writes about Northwest
salmon and ecology and national and regional American Indian issues. She
has a publisher interested in Let Them
Keep Their Promises, a book-length manuscript she authored about
Columbia River tribes’ cultural and legal struggles to maintain
their fishing traditions.
