Kim Barnes’ memoir, In the Wilderness: Coming of Age in Unknown
Country, was a finalist in 1997 for the Pulitzer Prize in
biography/autobiography and received the Pacific Northwest Booksellers
Association award that year. She is author of a second memoir, Hungry
for the World, and a novel, Finding Caruso. She is also
co-editor and author of Kiss Tomorrow Hello: Notes from the Midlife
Underground by 25 Women over 40. She currently teaches at the
University of Idaho.
