Claire Davis' first novel, Winter Range won the PNBA and
MPBA awards for best fiction 2001, and was listed among the best books of
2000 by the Washington Post, the Christian Science Monitor
and Seattle Times. Her second novel Season of the Snake
was chosen by Kirkus Reviews as 1 of 25 best books recommended for
book club selections.
Claire's latest work include the short story collection Labors
of the Heart (St. Martins, 2006) and the anthology Kiss Tomorrow
Hello: Notes from the midlife underground by 25 women over 40,
co-edited with Kim Barnes. She teaches part-time in Pacific University's
MFA program and at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston,
Idaho.
