Alyson Hagy is the author of Keeneland, Madonna on Her Back, and Hardware River. One of the stories in Graveyard of the Atlantic was selected by Annie Proulx to appear in Best American Short Stories 1997. Forever drawn to weather-whipped places, Hagy is a longtime explorer of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She currently lives and teaches in Laramie, Wyoming.
