How about a few podcasts of interviews with authors and poets from the National Book Festival of 2007? Well you can get them all and you can get them for free on the Library of Congress’ new Itunes U page.

Yep, they’re bringing the library closer to home.

…’Till Wordstock. Take One down…

We here at Wordstock have been gearing up for some time now and we’ve just hit the top of the rollercoaster. Plans are becoming realities, excitement is building, and authors are confirming their inclusion in our weekend of books and literary goodness.  As the rest of you begin to hop on the ride with us, we’ll share some of the exciting details of the big Event. In the mean time don’t forget to mark your calendars for Oct. 9th, 10th, 11th and keep your eyes open for Wordstock events leading up to the big weekend.

Put your arms up and enjoy the ride!

The clock is ticking!

The 3rd Annual Wordstock Fiction Contest deadline is fast approaching. In fact you only have three more days to polish up that masterpiece you’ve been working on and get it in the mail. All entries to the contest must be postmarked by July 1st, 2009.

This year’s judge is esteemed nature writer and National Book Award winner Barry Lopez and he’s waiting for your entry to the contest. We understand it’s down to panic time to make sure every word, sentence and paragraph are well placed. Get those pens, typewriters and laptops churning and send your entry to:
